Finances. They can make you physically sick or feel great. Here's some links to help you along in your financial future.

Some think he's over the top in some areas, but he's got some REALLY great financial wisdom. Dave Ramsey knows what he's talking about when it comes to finances.

Don't have a will made up? Don't worry, you're not the only one. But it's very important that you get one done as soon as possible. The following are a couple of sites I've found that can help you out. (Hint: one of them has all sorts of legal forms that you can view and copy and paste onto your computer for free. Trying to adhere to their user guidelines, I've only provided links for the main pages of these sites. It's up to you to find what I'm talking about. But when you do, I don't think you'll be sorry. I copied and pasted into my computer very easily and it's perfectly fine with them, as long as you follow their guidelines.)

Are you looking for a chance to work at home, full-time, part-time or on the side? I can't say enough good things about WAHM.com. They've got you covered in every aspect of working out of your home, from job opportunities to how to make it work and chat forums where you can ask others if they've tried this opportunity or that, this is the place to go for anything work-at-home related.

Passion To Success is also a great site for legitimate work-at-home opportunities.

Here are some things I have learned:

There are two different types of work at home income. Work at home JOBS are like telecommuting. You have a boss and guaranteed assignments. You get those done in a timely fashion and you've got a paycheck, and you probably don't have to pay anything (unless it's something like transcription work and you're paying for your equipment). But your time isn't as flexible with this type of work. You can find legit listings in the telecommuting folder at wahm.com.

Then there are work at home BUSINESSES. These usually do require some sort of money from you but this is okay if you are paying for products. Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon are some of the well known one for this type of business. I'm in
Watkins  (it's been around since 1868 and provides the best quality kitchen spices, mixes, etc. in my opinion!) When you join one of these companies, you are paying for your business to get started. You can't start a business without something to sell, material to provide information, etc. If you are paying for this type of thing it's okay. The amount you pay depends with each company. You should be very sure to know exactly what you are paying for. These can also be fun when you get into something you enjoy and if you want, they can get you out of the house as well (if you want to do parties, they certainly aren't necessary).

Now, I stress that you should NEVER have to pay money for lists of "prospects," just for "information," etc. You should only be willing to pay money to a very reputable company for products. Anything else is a scam.

Now that I've made clear the two different type of work at home opportunities, you've got one of the most important things to figure out: What are your passions, hobbies, etc. What do you naturally enjoy doing? Any type of work you do from home needs to be something you won't hate. It doesn't matter if your neighbor is truly making a million bucks with ease with some company, if you don't naturally enjoy doing that type of thing, you're going to be lucky to make $10. Does this make sense? Think about what you like to do and go from there. There is something out there for nearly any type of niche. For example, I love to write so I went into newspaper work and then started to freelance once I quit my job to be home with my children. I also love to cook so Watkins is a great fit for me. Also, I enjoy helping people so I started doing web stuff that provided resources for people (see my profile).

Okay, the last thing: There is one thing that you can do that won't cost you anything. Google adsense can be set up for free (  ) on a free blog and you can make money doing this. BUT it takes time, time, TIME and patience, patience, PATIENCE and WORK to see significant income this way. It takes a while to get the kind of traffic you would need to make this a reliable source of income.

If you're looking for ideas on legit opportunities, I suggest you check out wahm.com. They have SO much information there and have been a big help to me. I hope I've been of some help! : )

If you're wondering whether starting a website would be profitable for you, see my Your own website  page.

Have you seen ads mentioning something called Upromise but didn't know what it was? It's an organization, free, that helps you save some money for your kids' college, or pay off your own student loans. We don't make a lot of money at it, but we so far we do get about $50 a year in an account. Multiply that times 18 years and that's a significant chunk of change to pay for books! It works by registering your debit and/or credit cards and whenever you shop with a Upromise merchant partner, that merchant gives a percentage of your purchase to your Upromise account. You can even have it emptied into a 529 college savings plan. I tend to be a cynic, and somewhat of a conspiracy theorist (I prefer the term realist!) and was uncomfortable with joining for a while, so we didn't. I was thinking it's just another way for the government and whoever else to know what we are purchasing. But once I started realizing that unless you pay cash for EVERYTHING, they already know. Checks aren't even safe as far as that's concerned. So then I figured, we may as well benefit since they know anyway! If you join and do any online shopping, then you should install their RemindU onto your computer. It doesn't really take any space, takes just a second or two to download, and it automatically registers your purchase with Upromise if you are on a partner site, so you don't have to worry about remember to shop through the Upromise links first.

Do you www.ebay.com? If not, you should! It's a great opportunity to either make money, or save money by buying on it. See my ebay page for more information to get you started.
